Program Requirements

  • Total Units Required: 17 units
  • Grade Requirement: Students must earn a grade of C– or higher in all required and elective dance courses in order for them to apply toward minor requirements.

Required Courses

Dance courses at Washington University integrate practice with the study of the historical, cultural, scientific, and aesthetic dimensions of dance. In choosing courses, students may individually choose to tailor their individual program of study to emphasize any one of the required four areas: Creative Process, Embodied Practice, History/Theory, or Movement Science/Somatics. This flexibility includes electives, allowing students to create an individual pathway through the minor.
