The information presented here is only for students who matriculated prior to Fall 2026/before the creation of the Biomedical Data Science and AI programs. Curriculum requirements can be provided by the Program Manager.
This four-semester, 42-credit-unit program offers excellent training in Biostatistics and Statistical Genetics for students who earned undergraduate or higher degrees with majors in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or other related fields. It prepares graduates for rewarding employment in academia and industry and for further graduate studies. Students choose between a Traditional Biostatistics pathway or a Statistical Genetics pathway. An internship or mentored research project is a required component of the program.
